One of the great things about being around as long as we have here at FS Construction Services is how often we get to work with returning clients. And sometimes, this even means getting to come back to a project we initially worked on for a building update or addition.
Building Update Provides New Purpose
This was the case recently, when our team returned to work on a building we had previously constructed. The existing building is a large, white storage shed and the job was to add a lean-to onto the structure. We built a 20’ x 80’ x 13’6” lean-to and attached it to the building. We were able to match the color and styling so the structure looks complete. Additionally, we wrapped the columns on the lean-to and added gutters and downspouts.
Our client also needed the ability to drive between the columns and into the shed itself, so we engineered a 24’ x 13’6” headered opening to create enough space for our client to maneuver comfortably.
When it was all said ad done, we were able to provide a significant amount of covered space to our client’s building without making it look like these two projects were completed at separate times. The uniformity of design and the function of the new lean-to provided our customer new use on an already useful building, and we loved the opportunity to be able to improve on an older project.
