The highly customizable nature of these buildings extends beyond something that just works as a horse barn and a gathering space. It extends into something that can look good doing it. We are able to create buildings that look as attractive as they are useful, which was great news for this project’s client, who wanted us to be able to blend their building in with the house on their property.
This 24’ x 40’ x 12’ building features an 8’ x 40’ covered porch, a 12” overhang around the entire building, a vented ridge cap, and Dripstop under the metal roofing to prevent condensation. The structure was placed on a 6” thick concrete pad, with 8” x 36” trenched footing around the perimeter of the concrete floor to support the weight of the building.
To match the house on the property, this new building has custom bronze coloring, cedar-wrapped posts, and a 12’ x 10’ Raynor Aspen mocha-colored overhead garage door that perfectly matches the garage door on the existing house. This door features ranch glass in its top section and recessed, grooved colonial panels alongside a 3/4 hp belt drive operator.
All in all, this project was a great marriage of form and function, with custom structural elements to suit our client’s need and custom design elements to ensure they will enjoy looking at it for the many, many years it will stand on their property.
