Getting All Systems Ready for Harvest for a Red Bud Grain Elevator
This past summer, a client of ours needed some work done on the feed storage building at their grain elevator in Red Bud. The large storage building is home to a variety of feed storage products, trailers, pallets, and more, making it a critical piece of their system.
Fortunately, we were able to schedule the updates right between planting and harvest, walking the tightrope of summer so that we could avoid cutting into harvest time.
Our first order of business was to re-roof the 40’ x 63’ building as well as the 14’ x 56’ lean-to. This lean-to connects to the building with steel roofing panels, which are rated high for wind uplift, snow load, hail, and fire resistance. This is a must due to the building’s location, where three of these things are pretty much a guarantee.
But our team didn’t stop there! We also removed and replaced the existing sidewall with the same steel panels we used for the roof. Not only does this give the building a clean, uniform look, it provides the same high-level of protection over the entire structure.
Thanks to the quick work of our team, our client will enter harvest with an incredibly durable feed storage building. This building will not only last them for many years to come, but look good the whole time!
