Additionally, you generally have to think less about expensive maintenance over time with steel buildings. If steel is sealed correctly and cleaned regularly, you won’t have to worry about the mold, rust, or pest problems that can come with wood (i.e. termites). Steel buildings can also be rated to withstand varying degrees of hail, wind, snow, fire, and earthquakes.
To be fair, though, steel is usually going to pose a bigger upfront cost than other materials might. So, the question always becomes: will that investment pay for itself over time?
But again, the good news with steel buildings is that you will have a lot of time to work with. And if ever you no longer have need for your steel building, the material can often be repurposed or resold at a high value!
