Over the past couple of months, we have been learning more about Assistant Construction Foreman Damon Stapleton. This month, we are coming to the end of his Employee Profile series.
However, we still have a little more to say about Damon and his time at FS Construction Services – particularly about his joy for helping the next generation learn and grow.
Damon Teaches the Next Generation
One of the benefits of having Damon around is the simple joy he takes in successfully completing a project. We are fortunate that he has taken this enthusiasm, paired it with his over 30 years of construction experience, and is selfless enough to share it with some of the newer members of our crew.
In Damon’s words, “They are really hard-working guys who have joined the crew, and I really like working with them. I like teaching them the tricks of the trade. Folks did it for me, and now I try to do the same.”
Damon’s interest in construction began all those years ago while helping his uncle around the house. Now, he is passing on that appreciation and knowledge to the next generation.
And this is, perhaps, one of Damon’s greatest gifts that he’s given us.
At his core, Damon’s enjoyment comes from being able to look at a job well done and appreciate its completion. His goal is to make sure clients are satisfied with the work that has been done. And his legacy is teaching others how to carry on that same approach.
We are grateful to have Damon on our team, and we sincerely hope the next generation will follow in his footsteps.
