Grain Systems Construction:
- Construction Labor, Millwright, Bin Erection, Electrical, Service
- Constructs equipment at commercial grain facilities in a safe and productive manner providing a positive construction experience for customers.
- Assembles and installs equipment, using hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
- Aligns machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
- Positions steel beams to support machines and equipment, using blueprints and manuals to determine work procedures.
- Moves machinery and equipment, using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
- Signals crane operator to place assemblies and align units.
- Levels, plumbs and establishes centerlines, using straight edges, levels, and transits.
- Assembles machines and bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to foundations or other structures, using proper tools and equipment.
- Replaces defective machine parts or adjusts clearances and alignment of moving parts.
- Inserts shims, adjusts tension on nuts and bolts, and/or positions parts, using hand tools and measuring instruments, to set specified clearances between moving and stationary parts.
- Operates vehicles, mechanized devices, or equipment such as forklifts, scissors lifts, boom lifts, passenger vehicles, etc.
- Interprets construction manuals, and material lists.
- Must have H.S Diploma, related experience, valid driver’s license, and good driving record. May be required to successfully pass drug screening and background check.
Building Carpenter:
- General Construction Labor, Electrical, Carpentry, Finish Work
- This position interprets drawings and construction plans to ensure projects are successfully completed to project specifications.
- The position includes aerial work involving cranes, man lifts, man baskets, utilizing appropriate fall protection and other necessary personal protective equipment.
- Rigging of materials to be lifted with cranes, forklifts, etc.
- Site preparation, pouring and finishing of concrete footings, walls, pads, etc.
- Skilled as a carpenter, including ability to work with various materials, custom fabricate wood, metal & roofing as well as associated trims, angles, transitions, etc.
- Ability to use all necessary equipment to complete projects, including but not limited to:
- Forklifts
- Skid Loader and various attachments
- Trencher
- Scissor Lift
- Boom Lift
- Various power and other operating tools
- Rigging
- Must have H.S Diploma, related experience, valid driver’s license, and good driving record. May be required to successfully pass drug screening and background check.
Grain Systems Electrical Service Technician:
Summary: Installs and repairs mechanical & electrical systems, apparatus, and components of agricultural grain handling & drying & industrial machinery and equipment by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as augers, conveyors, and programmable controllers.
- Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.
- Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, fans, heaters and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
- Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with customers and other field service/maintenance workers to diagnose malfunction.
- Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices.
- Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards.
- Replaces electric motor bearings and rewires motors.
- Verify repairs and test for possible malfunctions, and to verify repairs.
- Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
- Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
