This two bin storage and drying project started with the construction of twin Sukup 33,000-bushel storage bins. Upon completion, power sweeps with horizontal powerhead were installed. The centrifugal fans with low temp burners provide this customer options to help control humidity so natural air drying is more efficient. Stairs and a roof rails were installed thus providing safety and security for both the farmer and farm hands working on the bins. Quality equipment from our partners at Sukup and Hutchinson were key components of this Grain Systems project. At the center of this initiative is a Sukup 48-12 storage bin, with a 72,000-bushel storage capacity. This structure was placed on an engineered foundation for both the bin and Creamer Leg Tower. A powerful Hutchinson Master Mover Conveyor completed the mechanical requirements. Throughout the design, engineering and construction of this project, the main focus was on the customer’s overall goal and deliver a system that will last a generation.

To best meet the customer’s objectives, our team also outfitted the exterior of the bin with a brand-new Shivvers transfer auger and the inside with state-of-the-art temperature sensing cables from TSGC – the leader in temperature monitoring equipment. Finally, the high capacity truck loadout spout is capable of filling a semi-truck in two minutes! This state-of-the-art Brock storage and handling system project was concepted, designed, constructed and brought on line in 2016 and provides easy access to animal feed. With a twelve-foot diameter and sixty-degree auger, this bin is capable of storing over twenty tons of rabbit pellets! Unique to this system, the feed auger runs through the side wall and into the building for easy feeding.
